Mr. James Leung

Mr. James Leung
James Leung, MD is a world renowned Taiwanese internist and gastroenterologist. With over 40 years of medical experience in the application and research of disease prevention and personal health management, James Leung is one of the leading Functional Medicine pioneers.
After graduating from the Department of Medicine at the Taipei Medical University in 1979, he soon found his passion for Functional Medicine becoming the first doctor in Taiwan to publish a research article examining “fatty liver” disease.
In 2003 James Leung was the first Chinese specialist to gain the American Board-Certified Anti-Aging Physician certification and to this day remains the founder of Asian Functional Medicine and the dean of “EUREKA Taipei International Functional Medicine and Healthy Aging Center” in Taipei, Taiwan.

Dr. Rachel Skocylas

Dr. Rachel Skocylas
Dr. Rachel Skocylas, MD, CCFP, ABOM is a family physician with a special interest in functional and integrative medicine. She completed her medical school at University of British Columbia and went on to do her residency in family medicine at the University of Toronto. She also holds board certification in obesity medicine through the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM).
Dr. Rachel (as she is known to her patients) is an avid learner and continues to pursue further education through the Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona in addition to courses through the Institute of Functional Medicine. A strong advocate for preventative medicine, she aims to empower patients to take an active role in their health by using a variety of tools to measure their current health status and provide education about realistic lifestyle measures that can be implemented to improve and maintain health.
Her approach to medicine is built around understanding health concerns from a holistic, systems-based approach and addressing root causes of symptoms. With her diverse training background she is able to offer a unique combination of both conventional and functional medicine approaches while helping patients understand when one may be more suitable than the other.
Dr. Wilfred King

Dr. Wilfred King
Dr. Wilfred King MD, was born and raised in Taiwan, and is an international graduate from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland. Having moved to Vancouver fairly young, he is multilingual and speaks fluent Mandarin and English.
Dr. King completed his residency and training for family medicine at the University of Manitoba in 2014, and has been practicing in Vancouver and Burnaby ever since. He has worked as a family physician at multiple family practice and walk-in clinics across the lower mainland. In addition to his passion for family medicine, Dr. King has a special interest in Geriatric and Functional Medicine. He is currently enrolled in a certification program at the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Dr. Maggie Zhou

Dr. Maggie Zhou
Dr. Maggie Zhou joins R·MEDY with an extensive background in internal medicine, and a special interest in obesity and lifestyle medicine, and endocrinology/hematologic conditions. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Waterloo, her MD at the University of Toronto, and her residency in internal medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Dr. Zhou has hospital privileges at MSJ Hospital and Richmond General Hospital, and will be able to see REH patients for all internal medicine referrals.
Dr. George KO
Family Physician, MD
Dr. George KO
He completed his Family Practice Residency with the Vancouver Fraser Program and has worked across a variety of settings, including family medicine, geriatrics, and mental health care. Dr. Ko is currently a Shared-care Physician with Fraser Health and has also gained valuable experience in community health, long-term care, and obesity medicine.

In his free time, Bryan enjoys reading, movies, board games, cooking, and playing sports like basketball and hockey.

Outside of work, Jike likes to spend time with his 6 year old dog – a Golden Lab hybrid named Sunny. He is also passionate about American Football and Basketball.

Her natural strength in aesthetics has resulted in her having a great attention to detail which results in patient’s achieving their individual goals!
Outside of work, Sally loves shopping, trying different restaurants with friends, and practicing self care through yoga or pilates.

Crystal earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from McGill University. She started her nursing career at Vancouver General Hospital in the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant unit. After two years, she transitioned to medical aesthetics, where she takes pride in helping clients feel confident in their skin.
In her free time, Crystal enjoys weight lifting, spending time with her two cats and dog, and trying new restaurants with friends.

Meagan, a Calgary native, graduated from Mount Royal University in 2010 and worked as a nurse at Alberta Children’s Hospital. She moved to Vancouver and is now a body contouring expert at Vancouver Laser.
As our CoolSculpting™ Queen with over 10,000 cycles and 6+ years of experience, Meagan is one of North America's first 400 Master CoolSculpting™ Artists. She loves helping clients achieve their body goals.
In her free time, she enjoys hot yoga, infrared saunas, movies, and sharing wine with family and friends. She supports local and organic products.
